# Welcome to Freud

> Freud is the assistant and back office of your practice, in one place. It knows your people, your calendar and your words, and it does the follow-through. You stay in charge: in chat it drafts, and you decide.

This guide takes about ten minutes. You can read it, or just ask Freud: **show me around**.

---

## Start here

Do these in any order. Each one makes the next one easier.

- [ ] Tell Freud how you work. Ask Freud opens with a few questions about your practice and a normal week; answer in your own words.
- [ ] Connect the app you already live in, from the **Apps** page.
- [ ] Set your booking hours and what people can book.
- [ ] Add your photo and one line about you to your public page.
- [ ] Write one Knowledge document about your services and prices.
- [ ] Share your link: your public page lives at daddyfreud.com/your-handle.

## Where everything lives

The slim bar on the left takes you everywhere. Workflows is behind the **…** button.

| Where | What it is | Try this |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Home** | Ask Freud, your assistant, and your day | Ask: what should I do today? |
| **Relationships** | Every person you work with: record, chats, notes and groups. Switch between List, Table and Board | Open one person and read their history |
| **Calendar** | Your bookings by month or week | Drag a booking to a new day |
| **Knowledge** | Your documents and skills, in your words | Write a page about your prices |
| **Apps** | Connect the tools you use, and browse Community Resources | Connect one app |
| **Workflows** (under …) | Things that run by themselves | Switch on a welcome message |

---

## Ask Freud, your assistant

Ask Freud is the chat that opens beside every page. It can look things up, change things, write and set things up. Ask it in plain words, the way you would ask a colleague.

The little face beside a chat shows who you are talking with. The face follows the page you are on:

| Face | Name | Best for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Star | **Freud** | Your day, the inbox, billing, and jobs that cross pages |
| Flower | **People & Time** | Relationships and Calendar: a person and a time are one thing |
| Ghost | **Ghostwriter** | Knowledge: documents, skills and emails in your own voice |
| Mech | **Mech** | Workflows and Apps: what runs by itself, and the apps behind it |

You do not have to pick one. Any of them can do any job; the face just tells you who is best at it.

### Bring your own words into a chat

- Type `/` to pick any Knowledge document or skill, for example `/welcome-to-freud`. Freud uses a document as reference and follows a skill step by step.
- Type `@` to point at a file or a connected app.

### Things people ask

```
What is on my calendar this week?
Who have I not heard from in a month?
Write a welcome email in my voice.
Turn this skill into a workflow.
Which apps does this workflow need?
```

> In chat, Freud only drafts what it sends. You press Send.

---

## People and time

- **Relationships** keeps one record per person: contact details, stage, notes and the whole conversation history.
- **Groups** let you reach, or automate for, many people at once. A workflow's Add to group step fills them, and so do readers who verify their email on a document you share.
- **Calendar** shows every booking. A booking is a person at a time, so you can open the person from it.
- Freud can check availability, book, move and cancel, and send a video-call link. Anything that notifies someone says what they will receive first.
- When you tell Freud something lasting about a person, it saves it on their record, so every later chat can use it.

## Knowledge: your words, one place

- A **document** holds facts: prices, policies, FAQs, how you talk.
- A **skill** is a how-to Freud follows: the steps, in order, and how to know it worked.
- The **Ghostwriter** writes in your voice. When it rewrites something that already has words, you review the change: red and struck through is what goes, green is what comes. Press Allow or Decline.
- A document can also be an **email**: add a Button and a Signature block, then pick it in a workflow's Send step.

### Who can see a document: Visibility

Every document has a Visibility menu. Private is the default and keeps it to you and your team.

| Choice | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Private** | Only you and your team. Choosing it switches every other choice off |
| **Public** | Listed in Community Resources, and gets its own link you can copy and share |
| **Show on my page** | Appears on your public agent page, also with its own link |
| **Agent answers from this** | Your public agent uses it to answer visitors. Start the document with: Use when a visitor asks about … |

**Can I charge for a document?**
Yes. A shared document can have a price. Visitors see the author and the headline, and the rest unlocks after they pay. Payments go to your own Stripe account. Buyers pay your price plus a fixed $2 fee to DaddyFreud, and there is no commission.

## Workflows: things that run by themselves

A workflow is one start, then steps. Describe it in plain words to Mech and it builds it.

### How a workflow starts

- someone gets in touch
- someone books, or is rescheduled
- someone says something specific
- someone sends a file
- someone joins a group
- on a schedule: every day, every week, or just once

### What the steps do

1. **Send** a message: a Knowledge document sent as written, or Freud writes it from your Knowledge.
2. **Wait** for a while.
3. **Only if** something is true.
4. **Add to group**.
5. **App**: do something in one of your connected apps.

- New workflows start **Off**. Switching one **On** is your approval; from then on it runs and sends by itself.
- Press **Test** first. It tells you what is missing, such as an app that is not connected yet.
- A message to a group or to everyone is an email with an unsubscribe link. Only send it to people who agreed to hear from you.
- A schedule repeats until you switch it off, unless you chose just once.

## Apps and Community Resources

- **Apps** is where you connect the tools you use, such as Google (Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail), Notion, Outlook, Dropbox and others.
- **Community Resources**, inside Apps, holds documents, skills and workflows that other practices share, plus DaddyFreud's own, free. Add one and a copy lands in your practice.
- To share your own, set a document's Visibility to Public.

---

## Your public page and your agent

- Your page lives at **daddyfreud.com/your-handle**: your photo, your name, a Book button, your links, and a chat.
- The chat is your agent, a warm assistant who answers from your Knowledge, helps people book, and follows up. It never invents a price or a policy, and it hands over to you when it should.
- Change your page in your agent's settings: the Profile tab for your photo, name and links, and the Questions tab for what visitors ask.
- Prepaid bookings go through your own Stripe account, with a fixed $2 per sale and no commission.

---

## Staying in control

**Does Freud send things on its own?**
In chat, never: Freud drafts and you press Send. A workflow sends by itself only after you switch it On, and that switch is your approval.

**Who can see my Knowledge?**
Only you and your team, until you choose otherwise in the Visibility menu.

**Is my data mine?**
Yes. You own your data and can export it any time.

**What do the plans include?**
Solo includes one public agent and one team seat. Accelerate includes up to five public agents, each with its own link. Both include AI usage.
